Hyunjin started his dancing career coincidentally. While shopping with his mother, this Korean male dancer was invited by JYP Entertainment to become a trainee.

Rain started his dancing career at the age of 16 (1998). He debuted as a member of a boyband “Fanclub”, but this debut wasn’t successful. He was a trainee for JYP Entertainment in December 2000.
During his early years of training, Rain was a K-pop backup dancer. Despite his excellent singing and dancing abilities, Rain was repeatedly rejected for his Asian appearance.
